Mercury Direct: Post Retrograde Shadow Period

Mercury is finally direct! This Mercury Retrograde was a rocky one with eclipse season happening at the same time! Mercury has started moving forward again since last night May 14th at 5:30pm HST / 8:30pm PST.

However, it takes some time for Mercury to regain its normal speed and traverse the same zodiacal degrees that it covered during the retrograde phase. This period is known as the post-retrograde shadow period.

During the post-retrograde shadow period, some of the effects and challenges associated with Mercury retrograde can still linger. Although Mercury is moving direct, there may still be some residual influences from the retrograde phase. Communication may still require some caution, and there may be a need for additional attention to detail in handling information and making decisions.

It's important to note that the intensity of the post-retrograde shadow period gradually diminishes as Mercury gains momentum and fully moves beyond the degrees it covered during retrograde. As the days and weeks pass, the effects of the retrograde phase diminish, and the energy becomes more aligned with regular Mercury direct motion.

The length of the post-retrograde shadow period for Mercury generally lasts around two weeks. During this time, it's advisable to remain mindful of potential communication challenges and be patient as any residual effects of Mercury retrograde gradually fade away.

Although in post shadow period, with Mercury direct and in Taurus, we may begin to feel more of these energies.
